Greetings!!
It is that time of year again, to reflect upon the last year. My first question is always the same: Where did the year go?? This past year was truly a roller coaster ride, which I hope will not continue through 2012. This year I know that my time was consumed with the move of the QB, and the international debut of my Block of the Month design for Windham fabrics. Months and months of planning on both projects became reality in the summer. Then you throw in there knee surgery and family obligations, vending, teaching I am not sure there are really enough hours in the day to do it all. I am fortunate to have a great staff that can take care of things here at the shop so well. I am hoping for a quieter 2012. Could that really be possible??
You will be reading this before the holidays. Don’t forget ANN’S BIRTHDAY SALE, mark your calendars. To help the congestion, we once again will run the sale on Dec 30 and Dec 31. We will then be closed on New Years Day to recover. I have not decided what the sale will be this year, trying to come up with something new. Watch your email a few days before. Of course coupon books will be handed out those two days.
It seems like just yesterday, that we opened the QB. On Sunday, January 15 we will be celebrating our 12th birthday. As we are now closed on Sundays, our celebration will be on Saturday the 14th. Please join us in our celebration. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you, my customers, employees and family for your continued support through out the years. Your support lets us continue to offer you the best collection of fabric, the greatest clubs, classes and activities in the Milwaukee area. Again, thank you for your support.
Read on for lots of great events, classes and info.
Always,
Ann

I am “sew” excited in the sewing machine department. It will be our first full year with the two best brands of sewing machines. There are just not enough hours in the day to do all of the sewing and embroidery that I want to do! If you have sewing friends out there that sew on a Pfaff sewing machine, let them know that we are Metro Milwaukee’s authorized dealer. The year 2012 marks the 140th anniversary of the Husqvarna Viking brand of sewing machines. Watch for news of how the company will be celebrating.
With our commitment to “education” there will be education events throughout the year with national educators. Any one can attend these events, you do not have to own one of our brand machines. We will post on website when plans for events are finalized.
If you attend lots of workshops/retreats you might want to check out the Husqvarna Viking 100Q. This lightweight machine has many great options, not usually on lightweight machines. It comes with a hard cover. One of its best features—if you sew on an HV machine, all of your specialty feet will work on this machine even your dual feed foot. The 100Q also makes a great first machine for the your sewer in your life. Check it out soon!!
